Please, I have the wifi connector and the .exe application driver, so how do I get Internet on my wii in Linux?

I am selling a Windows Vista Computer, and am just wondering how to clean up/format the hard drive properly.
I’ve done some google searches and i’m pretty sure my computer has a Windows CD-Image file on it?
Well anyways, how can i format the computer while keeping the OS on it?

I am new to linux (just installed ubuntu 8.04) and I need GNU-make in order to install an application. How do I check if it (or any other application) is installed ?

I have a computer that is connected to the internet that has a broadband modem and has a usb wireless router. How can i connect my other computer Everex that’s running on windows XP to the internet using the wireless router from the computer that does have Internet?

I have two laptops and one of them totally crashed.When I try to install my original recovery cd it gives me some errors and I think reason is scratched cd.I was thinking what if I download Linux to cd using my normal computer and put it to crashed computer and install it.Is it possible?Thank you!

How do you install anti-virus software onto a notebook as there is no cd drive?
I really need anti-virus for my notebook laptop but can’t get my head around on how to do it ? And what software is the best?

I know the basics, but why is the upload speed always slower than download?
Also on my ISP, I measured the download as about 10MB/s and upload as about 0.5-0.7Mb/s. How is this affecting the overall speed of my connection?
